While almost every country is being affected by the pandemic, the second wave of coronavirus could worsen the situation in the coming months.<\/p>\n
Some countries including the USA and India are on the brink of the second wave of coronavirus as the governments have already eased the lockdown restrictions.<\/p>\n
The global coronavirus infection cases have reached 9,714,805, with around 491,856 deaths and 5,250,085 recoveries.<\/p>\n

Nepal has recorded a staggering number of 434 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total infections to 11,162.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, a 50-year-old man from Lalitpur has succumbed to coronavirus while undergoing treatment at the Patan Hospital. With this, the coronavirus death toll in the country reached 26.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a total of 312 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus infection, taking the country’s total recovery cases to 2,650.<\/p>\n
As of June 25, a total of 74,022 people are in various quarantine facilities and 8,486 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers.<\/p>\n
The month of June seems to be the worst period for Nepal as almost 10,000 COVID-19 cases of the total 11,162 were recorded in this period.<\/p>\n
The coronavirus cases in the country increased by around 10,000 in the last 25 days from 1,800 on June 1 to over 11,000 on June 26.<\/p>\n

At the time when the country is witnessing a sudden spike in coronavirus infections, the US Government has come forward to extend its support.<\/p>\n
The United States of America has handed over NPR 50 million worth COVID-19 health supplies to the Nepali Government on June 23.<\/p>\n
The US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has handed over NPR 50 million worth COVID-19 health supplies to the Chief of Army Staffs Purnachandra Thapa at the Army Headquarters.<\/p>\n
The medical supplies will be used to implement the “National Campaign Plan” for the prevention, response and control of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.<\/p>\n
