<\/p>\nSo far, Nepal has reported 4,085 COVID-19 positive cases and 15 death cases. Currently, there are 3,487 active cases and 584 recovered cases.<\/p>\n
As of today, the global coronavirus cases have increased to over 7.3 million, while the death toll stood at 413,731.<\/p>\n
Currently, there are 3,305,892 active cases with 3,251,869 in mild condition and 54,023 in critical condition. Meanwhile, 3,603,893 patients have recovered successfully.<\/p>\n
The World Health Organization (WHO) has acknowledged that their modeling studies suggest that asymptotic COVID-19 patients transmit about 40% of coronavirus infections.<\/p>\n
WHO\u2019s COVID-19 Technical Lead Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove revealed it during a Q&A session on social media on June 9, 2020.<\/p>\n

She exclaimed that these silent coronavirus carriers are as infectious as COVID-19 patients with symptoms.<\/p>\n
The major issues with the asymptotic patients are how long they are infectious before they develop symptoms and how infectious they are in that asymptotic period.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt appears that people have more virus in their body around the time they develop symptoms,\u201d said Maria. \u201cThat was different from the experience of SARS, which was an infection lower down the respiratory tract.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
A recent study by the Scripps Research Translational Institute revealed that asymptomatic COVID-19 patients could transmit coronavirus for an extended period, longer than 14 days.<\/p>\n
