The implications of coronavirus pandemic<\/a> are limitless, reaching even the smallest countries including Nepal, where the contagion has severely impacted the tourism industry.<\/p>\n The deadly virus has thrown a spanner in the nation\u2019s ambitious \u2018Visit Nepal Year 2020<\/strong>\u2019 campaign.<\/p>\n It is a major setback for Nepal’s economy, as aimed to attract over 2 million foreign tourists<\/a>, almost double from 2019.<\/p>\n However, the Nepali Government is planning to restore the tourism influx into the country after the pandemic.<\/p>\n As per the Economic Survey 2020\/21 presented by Finance Minister Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada, the government is planning to attract over 2.5 million foreign tourists by 2025.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Accordingly, the tourism industry is planning to create job opportunities to 898,000 Nepalis in the next five years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
