While the Nepali Government is struggling to enhance health care facilities to combat COVID-19 pandemic, the neighboring counties and various organizations are showcasing their support.<\/p>\n
Lately, the neighboring country India has gifted 23 tons of essential medical supplies to the Nepali Government as a part of the bilateral cooperation between the countries to fight COVID-19.<\/p>\n
The Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra handed over the medicines to the Nepali Minister for Health and Population Bhanubhakta Dhakal on April 22, 2020.<\/p>\n
The medical supplies contain 8.25 lakhs dosage of essential medicines including 3.2 lakhs dosage of Paracetamol and 2.5 lakhs dosages of Hydroxychloroquine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Meanwhile, the Nepali PM KP Oli took to Twitter to thank the Indian PM Narendra Modi for the significant support during the ongoing crisis.<\/p>\n

1) World Vision Provides 1k PPE and 120 IR Thermometers<\/strong><\/p>\n
The World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) has donated 1000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 120 IR thermometers to the Nepali Government amid the growing COVID-19 threat.<\/p>\n

As a part of its three-month comprehensive response plan against COVID-19, the WVIN has provided PPE sets and hygiene kits to the Nepali Ministry of Health and Population.<\/p>\n
Each kit contains 19 different items including protective gear and medical supplies.<\/p>\n
2) Nepal Procures NPR 800 Mn COVID-19 Equipment from China<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Nepali Government has procured COVID-19 medical equipment worth NPR 800 million from China.<\/p>\n
The equipment includes 2 PCR machines, 20,000 kits, 10,000 pieces of PPE, 1000 infrared thermometers and N95 masks.<\/p>\n
