So far, the Nepali Government has reported 45 coronavirus positive cases<\/strong> and zero death cases. However, 7 patients have recovered and discharged.<\/p>\n As of today, the coronavirus has infected 2.63 million people and claimed 184,235 lives, globally. Currently, 1,735,854 patients are undergoing treatment while 717,822 patients have recovered.<\/p>\n Three new coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Nepal on April 22, 2020, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 45.<\/p>\n According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), three men aged 24, 60 and 72 years respectively have tested positive for COVID-19 through PCR method at BKIHS hospital, Dharan.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, two COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged on the same day, taking the total number of recovered cases to 7. Currently, 38 patients are undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n As the number of coronavirus cases in Nepal has been rising continuously, the government is making efforts to contain the contagion.<\/p>\n In the past 24 hours, the government has carried out 3,736 coronavirus tests. So far, a total of 40,431 tests have been conducted in the country, 9,011 tests through PCR technology and 31,420 trough RDT technology.<\/p>\n Around 8,595 people have been quarantined in various places all over the country and 95 in isolation wards.<\/p>\n Prime Minister KP Oli said that the ongoing nationwide lockdown will be extended until the coronavirus situation gets normal.<\/p>\n The first nationwide lockdown was enforced on March 24, 2020 and the present ongoing lockdown is set to expire on April 27, 2020.<\/p>\n The government has also decided to restrict the public movement at the Nepal-India border points until the coronavirus situation in India gets controlled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" So far, the Nepali Government has reported 45 coronavirus positive cases and zero death cases.
