The Nepali Government has decided to provide financial support to the foreign migrant workers who have returned home over COVID-19 pandemic and want to start their own business.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security (MoLESS) and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (MoICS) are planning to launch a program to provide loans to the aspiring migrants to reach their entrepreneurship goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government will verify the skills of the youths who have returned from abroad and provide loans to those who want to start businesses that match their skills,\u201d said Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Secretary at the MoICS.<\/p>\n
According to the Foreign Employment Board (FEB), there are around 200 returnee migrants who had taken such loans to run small and medium-sized businesses.<\/p>\n
The FEB has been providing loans of up to NPR 1 million to the returnee migrants.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
