July 18, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n Gopal Prasad Parajuli was sworn in as the Chief Justice of Nepal. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Bidya Devi Bhandari, at a special ceremony at the office of the President in Sheetal Niwas on Monday.<\/p>\n Parajuli, who was officiating as acting Chief Justice after the retirement of Chief Justice Sushila Karki on June 6, 2017, will head the judiciary till April 28, 2018.<\/p>\n In his comments, Parajuli recalled the widespread discontent about the slow justice delivery in Nepal and said that he has prepared a 39-point action plan pertaining to judicial reforms in the country.
