The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has launched \u2018Call Test<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018Speed Test<\/strong>\u2019 mobile applications on the occasion of its 22nd<\/sup> anniversary on March 3, 2020.<\/p>\n Minister for Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT) Yuba Raj Khatiwada launched the applications during the anniversary function in Kathmandu.<\/p>\n The NTA has launched mobile applications in response to the growing concerns of the consumers regarding voice call quality and internet speed.<\/p>\n With these mobile apps, the consumers can check the quality of their calls and internet speed at a touch, and can even raise a complaint.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe are hopeful that this app will solve the problem of quality and speed of Internet as users can easily file complaint against the service provider,\u201d said NTA Spokesperson Prasad Aryal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cNow that the app has been launched, telecom operators will also take the issue seriously,” he added.<\/p>\n According to Aryal, the NTA is planning to release both the apps for Android and iOS platforms within few days.<\/p>\n Earlier in January 2020, Nepal has been ranked 112th<\/sup> in fixed internet speed and 127th<\/sup> in mobile internet speed in the global internet speed rankings.<\/p>\nCall Test App:<\/h3>\n
