July 5, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n In the special hour of the Legislature Parliament session, a section of lawyers voiced their opinions on the government functioning.<\/p>\n Pointing at the government\u2019s functioning in the recently-held elections in six provinces, lawyers pitched on the need for having a new act focused on operating local governance. Stressing on the need for the new act, Rajan Bhattarai said the government was not serious in taking initiatives to conduct elections in a better way.<\/p>\n Rajaram Syangtan attributed to the lack of human resources as the reason behind improper organising of local elections.<\/p>\n Speaking on other contemporary issues, lawmaker Dilli Prasad Kalfey suggested the government to make the Kalikot hydroelectricity construction project self-dependent.<\/p>\n PPA signed with the Indian Government on the project, under the provision of purchasing power in dollar terms, would cause loss to Nepal, he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" July 5, 2017 In the special hour of the Legislature Parliament session, a section of lawyers…<\/span><\/p>\n
