In a bid to upgrade Pokhara\u2019s transport infrastructure while maintaining its greenery, the Pokhara Metropolitan City and South Korea\u2019 Gangwon Province and Green Technology Centre have signed an MoU on the occasion of World Carbon Forum \u2013 2019.<\/p>\n
The MoU was signed for a project which will focus on the development of transport infrastructure with greenery in Pokhara<\/a>.<\/p>\n The MoU was signed by the respective representatives \u2013 Pokhara Metropolis Mayor Man Bahadur GC, Gangwon Province Governor Choi Moon-Soon and Green Technology Centre Korea (GTCK) Chief Executive Officer.<\/p>\n As part of the agreement, the joint-collaboration of South Korea\u2019s Gangwon Province and Green Technology will work to promote smart-environment friendly tourism, innovate smart city technology, undertake scientific study and investigate and propel institutional development of Pokhara.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Similar projects were undertaken in Bhutan and Uganda, which emerged successful.<\/p>\n After signing the MoU, all the three members pledged to initiate a project that would contribute to reducing global carbon production and the greenhouse gas emission effects.<\/p>\n On the occasion, Mayor Bahadur GC urged one and all to invest in Nepal, especially that the country is now having an investment favorable climate.<\/p>\n Likewise, the Kathmandu Metropolitan Development Authority had announced its plans to develop smart cities in Kathmandu<\/a>, Bharatpur<\/a> and Lalitpur<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In a bid to upgrade Pokhara\u2019s transport infrastructure while maintaining its greenery, the Pokhara Metropolitan City…<\/span><\/p>\n
