Twenty four groups have reached the final round of Smart City Technology Competition<\/em> initiated by the Kathmandu Metropolis Urban Planning Commission and creating models to solve urban problems in Kathmandu Metropolis through technology solutions. Besides, it also aims to make the metropolis \u2018technology-friendly<\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n Participants were given four topics- Community and Environment, Urban Infrastructure Development, Community Service and Public Administration & Management,<\/em> after which they were trained by experts for three months.<\/p>\n The training has helped the 24 groups gain skills that makes their product more competitive. The finalists had to undergo four rounds to enter the current stage.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The winning team will receive a cash prize worth NPR 500,000. Besides, the Kathmandu Metropolis has planned to convert the best group to a business entity (entrepreneurs).<\/p>\n
