Nepali women are recognized around the world for their persona, courage and strength. Adding to this recognition is Nepal\u2019s Kanchhi Maya Tamang.<\/p>\n
Tamang along with Kalpana Dash from India and Liyamu Ma from China successfully completed her quest to Mount Everest, creating a first of its kind record in Everest expeditions.<\/p>\n
Dash reached the peak by 12:30 pm today, while Tamang and Ma finished their expeditions by 9 and 9:45 am on May 22, 2019.<\/p>\n
The trio had set out to conquer the world\u2019s tallest mountain this spring climbing season<\/a> with the aim to empower women in the region and spread the message of universal peace and friendship.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n With this climb, they conveyed the message to the world that \u2018women are capable of doing adventure activities and inspire other women to come to Nepal for adventure activities\u2019.<\/p>\n Renowned mountaineer and 6 Guinness world records holder Pemba Dorje Sherpa guided the climber-trio on their expedition. Sherpa was also Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal Tourism<\/a> Year 2011 and has led 18 trips successfully in the past.<\/p>\n The climbing team was supported by Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign<\/a>. They hoisted the #VNY2020<\/strong> flag with PM KP Oli\u2019s signature at the summit of Everest.<\/p>\n
