February 20, 2019 marked the beginning of the first Magar festival<\/strong> in Gandaki Province\u2019s Parbat district.<\/p>\n Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung inaugurated the festival, which aims at drawing funds for preserving the Magar culture<\/a>.<\/p>\n Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Gandaki Province would become Nepal\u2019s first province to achieve economic prosperity.<\/p>\n Various programs for Gandaki\u2019s province\u2019s prosperity will be implemented from now on, as mentioned earlier in the current fiscal year, Gurung added.<\/p>\n He said that the province would experience a series of developments in the next five years.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Chief Minister asserted that the government was working hard to preserve and maintain the culture, local art and traditional identity of Gandaki Province, since tourism is the bread-winner for development in the province.<\/p>\n The unique festival will feature various popular Magar folk songs and dances.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The first-time event is being organized by the Pun Youth Club and is estimated to draw 200,000 visitors!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" February 20, 2019 marked the beginning of the first Magar festival in Gandaki Province\u2019s Parbat district.…<\/span><\/p>\n
