The 12th<\/sup> edition of the Chitwan festival began on the banks of Narayani river on January 09, 2019.<\/p>\n This biannual festival is being organized by the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce with the theme Chitwan\u2019s Pride and Dignified Presentation.<\/em><\/p>\n Nepal former Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal \u2018Prachanda<\/strong>\u2019 inaugurated a procession by releasing a balloon to launch the nine-day festival. The procession took a walk around the Narayangadh Bazar with various organizations participating in it.<\/p>\n According to Festival\u2019s Main Organizing Committee Coordinator Sahan Lal Pradhan, the 12th<\/sup> Chitwan festival will include activities such as national-level seminars on agriculture, communication, education, energy, health<\/a>, and tourism<\/a>.<\/p>\n Moreover, entrepreneurs from 22 Nepal districts and abroad will exhibit their products at 520 stalls.<\/p>\n According to Chitwan Festival Management Committee Coordinator Chum Narayan Shrestha, the event will also see the likes of Indian, Chinese, Bangladeshi and Pakistani producers.<\/p>\n Furthermore, the exhibit will also feature agricultural promotion, commercial, information & technology-related, Nepali handicraft expo and other stalls.<\/p>\n The Chitwan festival is a part of the Nepal Government\u2019s Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign<\/a> with the main aim to promote tourism destinations in Chitwan<\/a> district and making it Nepal\u2019s premier tourism destination.<\/p>\n The 12th<\/sup> edition of the Chitwan Festival will run until January 18, 2019.<\/p>\n Recently, Nepal\u2019s major tourist hub Chitwan<\/a> also held the 15th edition of the popular Elephant Festival<\/a> which concluded on December 30, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The 12th edition of the Chitwan festival began on the banks of Narayani river on January…<\/span><\/p>\n
