Nepal is all set to play host to the SAFF Women\u2019s Championship<\/em> for the first time!<\/p>\n Recently, the Himalayan nation also held the SAFF Men\u2019s Championship<\/a> between October-November, 2018<\/p>\n The 5th<\/sup> SAFF Women\u2019s Championship is rescheduled to take place in Biratnagar<\/a> between March 12-22, 2019. Originally Sri Lanka was scheduled to hold the tournament.<\/p>\n All Nepal Football Association President Karma Tsering Sherpa requested that the tournament be held at Biratnagar in Shaheed Rangashala Stadium, even though Kathmandu<\/a> was chosen as the first venue.<\/p>\n Since the SAFF Women\u2019s Championship started in 2010, member countries Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka hosted the tournament with a gap of every two years.<\/p>\n Bangladesh will begin the tournament with a match against Pakistan on the first day, i.e., March 12, 2019.<\/p>\n It will then go on to play against Bhutan and Nepal on March 14 and 16, 2019, respectively.<\/p>\n The SAFF Women\u2019s Championship Semi-Finals will be held on March 20, 2019 while the SAFF Women\u2019s Championship Finals is scheduled on March 22, 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nepal is all set to play host to the SAFF Women\u2019s Championship for the first time!…<\/span><\/p>\n
