Nepal Human Rights agencies are preparing to highlight their concerns about Rohingya refugees to the Myanmar State.<\/p>\n
They are planning to do so in the Myanmar State Counselor and Foreign Affairs Minister Aung San Suu Kyi’s upcoming visit to Nepal on November 29, 2018.<\/p>\n
The Minister is coming to attend the much-awaited Asia Pacific Summit 2018<\/a> in Kathmandu being held between November 30-December 3, 2018<\/p>\n In this regard, the rights agencies are also urging the Nepal Government to discuss the safe return of Rohingya Muslim minorities and a fair investigation on the alleged abuse.<\/p>\n Suu Kyi will be meeting Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali among other leaders as part of her visit.<\/p>\n Rohingya Refugees Repatriation Crucial<\/strong><\/p>\n Nepal National Human Rights Commission Spokesperson Mohna Ansari said that the Nepali authorities should pitch for the homeless people\u2019s safe return and fair investigation of the matter.<\/p>\n \u201cThe geopolitical factors should not affect the human rights issue. The Nepal government must present its clear position on the matter,\u201d Ansari<\/span> said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
