June 8, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n Loveraj Singh Dharmshaktu, has become the first Indian mountaineer to climb the world\u2019s highest peak Mount Everest<\/a> for a record sixth time. For this achievement, on May 17 Loveraj was felicitated by the Adventure Sports Tourism Society (ASTS) during a programme held in Lalitpur district.<\/p>\n Loveraj hails from Uttarakhand and works at Indian Border Security Force (BSF). He scaled the Everest first in 1998 and his second summit was in 2008, followed by 2009 and 2012, and the last one was in 2013.<\/p>\n Loveraj received a felicitation letter from Tourism<\/a> Department’s officer Durga Datta Baral and the ASTS\u2019 trustee Bikram Pandey. The ASTS has also assigned Loveraj as Tourism Ambassador of Nepal<\/a> to North India.<\/p>\n Loveraj has been awarded with India\u2019s prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award in 2003.
