In an exciting update for Nepali football enthusiasts, renowned Spanish football club Atletico Madrid is collaborating with Naikap\u2019s West Kathmandu Football Club (WKFC) for developing football sport in Nepal.<\/p>\n
Towards this end, Atletico\u2019s international expansion and academy manager Fernando Lopez signed a MoU with Bhawan Bhatta, the president of Non-Resident Nepali Association in Kathmandu on October 19, 2018.<\/p>\n

Under the deal, Atletico will send its football coach to Nepal for training and vice-versa.<\/p>\n
Lopez promised of allowing talented WKFC players for special training in the Atletico Academy, besides upgrading WKFC\u2019s Naikap playground with Astro Turf.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe go for result when we are involved in any such projects. We are serious about the partnership and we are getting good cooperation for the Nepali side. I hope this program will run for long time,\u201d said Lopez.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
According to NRNA Europe Deputy Coordinator Eakraj Giri, Atletico has also assured them of extending its further support to WKFC depending on annual progress report.<\/p>\n
With this deal, Nepal joins the list of Atletico supporting centers across the world including Portugal, Nicaragua, Morocco, neighboring India and Haiti, among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
