The Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Nepal marked the 55th Anniversary celebrations of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day at Hotel Marriot in the capital on September 30, 2019.
Nepal Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbahadur Pandit was invited as Chief Guest of the event.
Indian Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri, who participated in the event, said that the ITEC has played an important role in mentoring and training Nepal’s senior officers and others at India’s most prestigious institutions.
The program has greatly contributed to Nepali officials skill upgradation and human resources.
Close to 150 ITEC alumni attended the celebrations, including secretaries from Ministries and Departments, which have availed ITEC courses human resources skill development.
The ITEC training courses span training in the field of banking, computers, education, engineering, hydrology, information technology, journalism, legislation, manpower research, power and remote sensing among others.
