Since the coronavirus outbreak in China in December 2019, the deadly contagion has spread across the world and never ceased to create health implications in the global countries.
So far, the coronavirus has affected 210 countries and territories and infected 2,178,149 people while claiming 145,329 lives.
The coronavirus figures on April 15, 2020 are very daunting as the contagion has infected 84,515 people and killed 7,960 in a day.
As of today, i.e., April 19, 2020, a total of 1,438,360 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across the world and 51,142 patients among them are under critical condition.
However, 546,743 patients have already recovered and discharged.
The USA has become the coronavirus hotspot and has witnessed 30,206 infection cases and 2,482 deaths in the last 24 hours.
As of now, the USA has reported 675,740 coronavirus infection cases and 34,522 death cases.
Among the infection cases, 566,852 patients are under normal treatment and 13,487 are in critical condition. Meanwhile, 48,708 patients have returned home after recovery.
New York is the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak in the USA with the highest number of infection and death cases. The city has reported 226,198 infection cases and 16,106 death cases.
Other major affected countries including Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the UK are trailing the USA in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths.
Surprisingly, China, the epicentre of coronavirus outbreak, has not reported any significant number of coronavirus cases since the last two weeks. As of now, there are only 1,107 coronavirus active cases in the country.
