Visit Nepal 2020: ‘Heritage March-2020’ from March 14

The Madhyapurthimi municipality is all set to organize the first ever ‘Heritage March-2020’ under the slogan ‘Our Heritages, Our Recognition’ from March 14, 2020.

The main aim of the rally is to promote Madhyapurthimi region as the domestic and foreign tourism destination and to support the ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020’ campaign.

Osla Nepal is organizing the event with the support of the Madhyapurthimi Municipality and collaboration of the Nepal Tourism Board.

The heritage march will start from Shankhadhar Chowk and end at Nilbarahi Temple.

Heritages to be Visited during the March are

  • Tachhatole
  • Bishnubir
  • Balkumari
  • Bamunetole
  • Lachhitole
  • Lokeshwor Temple
  • Kalika Temple
  • Mahalaxmi
  • Khansi Barahi Debu
  • Tigani

According to the Osla Nepal Chair Roshan Bajracharya, foreign delegates, domestic and foreign tourists, local organizations working for identifying cultural, historical and tourism destinations, and media personnel will participate in the event.

Madhyapurthimi Mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha said that the march will help in identifying the best heritages and tourism spots in the municipality. And, she requested the Nepali Government to include Madhyapurthimi as a tourism destination.

Madhyapurthimi area has gained prominence among the 18 municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley for the protection and promotion of heritage, art and culture.
