In a step boosting Sri Lanka-Nepal economic ties, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Nepal and Nepal-Sri Lankan Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a government-industry gathering in Kathmandu on January 01, 2019.
The event titled ‘Promotion of Economic Relations between Sri Lanka and Nepal’ witnessed the participation of Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO), Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) President, among others.
Speaking at the occasion, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Nepal Swarna Perera stressed on the importance of strengthening the Nepal-Sri Lanka economic relations.
Following his address, Perera gave a detailed presentation on how Nepal and Sri Lanka can support each other in terms of trade, tourism and investment opportunities.
Participants at the event also suggested that regular interactions including bilateral consultation and visits of dignitaries will be instrumental in building strong & long-standing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
More than 120 guests including tour operators, travel journalists and members of the chambers were part of the important event.
