The Nepali Government has resumed all the domestic and international flights that remained grounded since the outbreak of the coronavirus second wave in April.
However, domestic flights are restricted to operate with only 50% seat capacity to prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Meanwhile, the international flights will be operated on par with the safety protocols enforced earlier by the government.
In line with this, the government has ordered the Ministry of Civil Aviation to prepare a detailed flight schedule for each airline company. The Ministry is set to release the schedule by the evening today.
The details of the flights are as follows:
|Airlines||Foreign Destination||No. of Flights per Week|
|Nepali Airlines||Kuala Lumpur||2|
|Kuwait Airways||Kuwait City||2|
|Malaysia Airlines||Kuala Lumpur||2|
|China Southern Airlines||Chengdu||1|
|China Southern Airlines||Guangzhou||1|
The flights to India by Air India and Nepali Airlines were already in operation since June 7.
