As Monsoon 2020 kicks fully into gear, Nepal is being severely hit by multiple landslides and floods, resulting in extensive property damage and loss of human lives.
The landslides and floods triggered by the monsoon rainfall has caused more human loss than the coronavirus pandemic so far.
Over 40 people have lost their lives and many went missing in the country due to the monsoon mayhem.

The details are as follows:
Two people have died by the landslides in Myagde rural municipality and Byas municipality in Tanahun district.
Five people of a family went missing after their house was washed away due to landslides in Rishing rural municipality.
The death toll due to landslides and floods in the Jajarkot district has reached 11 after two more bodies were recovered on July 12.
They went missing in the landslide on Thursday night in Sarkitole of Barekot rural municipality-4.
The landslides and floods have displaced more than 500 families in Barekot alone. These families are taking shelter in local community school buildings.
Myagdi district has recorded 28 deaths due to the monsoon mayhem, the highest death toll in the country.

Lately, the authorities have recovered 27 bodies on Saturday and one on Sunday. However, six bodies are still missing in the landslides.
The local authorities have shifted around 73 vulnerable families in the Sankhuwasabha district to secure areas.
So far, 11 people went missing in a landslide at Besinda village in Silichong Rural Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha district.
Meanwhile, four people have been rescued alive by the villagers.
