International Museum in Pokhara Turns Major Tourist Destination

The International Museum in Pokhara has become a major tourist hotspot lately.

According to Museum Chief Administration Officer Rishi Ram Poudel, the museum has recorded more than 2.1 million tourists till date.

The tourism destination has been a major attraction to adventurous tourists, researchers and students since it was started in February 2004.

 

Over 932,000 Nepali students and 700,000 domestic visitors have visited the museum.

Likewise, the museum has welcomed more than 250,000 foreign countries visitors and 176,000 SAARC countries visitors.

The mountain-based museum displays mountain mysteries, the different aspects of mountain tourism and mountain activities. Situated in Pokhara’s Ghari Patan, the unique museum has earned more than NPR 200 million in revenue from visitors.
