Tokyo Olympics: Winning an Olympic Medal Remains an Unfulfilled Dream for Nepal!

Nepal’s dream of winning an Olympic medal remained unfulfilled as the nation’s last hope Saraswathi Chaudhary exits from the Tokyo Olympics.

The Nepali athlete exited from the Women’s 100m Preliminary Round as she finished 8th with the timings 12.91 seconds.

With this, all the five athletes who represented Nepal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 returned home without tasting success.

 

Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC)

On Wednesday, Nepali national swimmer Gaurika Singh failed to qualify for the next round even though she set a new national record.

In the Women’s 100m Freestyle, Singh finished the course in 1.0011 minutes, breaking her own record of 1.0062 minutes she set in 2019.
