Sandeep Lamichhane made a striking debut at the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) with a 2-23 for his team ‘Nangarhar Leopards’.
The Nepali spinning sensation entered the ground at the third over of the cricket match between Nangarhar Leopards and Paktia Panthers.
Lamichhane’s hard game against Panther’s Ishanullah Janat made the latter score as little as 18 including one six and two boundaries. The third over went on to witness another two Panthers wickets fall for three clean deliveries by Lamichhane.
Back in the eight over, Lamicchane allowed Panthers to make ‘one’ run before he took things into his control. Racing further, he paved way for Naveen-ul-Haq to get Cameroon Delport off the field and clean bowled Sikandar Raza in a two-ball duck.
Despite his splendid bowling performance, Paktia Panthers went on to win the match.
Currently, Sandeep’s team is at the fourth spot in the five-team T20 League. Let’s see what they’ll do next to save their spot in APL.
