Nepal spinning sensation Sandeep Lamichhane will now make his way into the Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting February 15, 2019.
Lamichhane who will be playing for the first time in PSL, will be a part of Lahore Qalandars club.
He is the only player from the ICC’s associate teams participating in PSL 2019. Even though Lamichhane’s T20 journey started only 10 months ago, his demand is franchise cricket is equivalent to a seasoned player.
Lahore Qalandars is Lamichhane’s sixth T20 team.
Former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja is eager to watch Nepal’s spinning sensation play on Pakistani ground.
“If you have not heard Lamichhane’s name till now, you will not only hear him but see him” said Raja.
“The youngster will be playing alongside the irrepressible Yasir Shah making a terrific combination in T20 cricket,” said Raja on his YouTube Channel ‘Ramiz Speaks’.
Lamichhane will be playing alongside strikers Fakhar Zaman, Corey Anderson and Carlos Brathwaite and AB de Villiers.
The Nepali spin bowler has taken nine wickets in his last seven T20 matches. He picked up 13 wickets for Big Bash League’s (BBL) Melbourne Stars alone at an economy rate of 6.83.
