Nepali Cricketer Sandeep To Play First Match in CPL 2020 Today!

Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is all set to play his first match in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 today.

The CPL is scheduled to commence at 7:45 pm today at Trinidad and Tobago.

The first match of the tournament would be between Sandeep’s team Jamaica Tallawah and Saint Lucia.

“I am very happy to get a chance to play cricket after a long gap following coronavirus pandemic,” said Sandeep.

Sandeep reached Trinidad and Tobago on a chartered flight of Korean Air on July 30 to play CPL. He underwent two PCR tests for coronavirus infection and tested negative.

Caribbean Premier League Teams

All the 33 matches of the tournament will be played in front of empty stands amid the pandemic to ensure the players’ safety.

The final match will be held on September 10, 2020.
