Nepal, Qatar to Open ICC Twenty20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier

Nepal prepares to clash it off with Qatar in the opening match of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier.

The news was made public after the International Cricket Council shared the series tie sheet for matches scheduled to be held between July 23-28, 2019 in Singapore.

A total of five teams will compete against each other in a round robin format, wherein the top two firms will qualify for the Global Qualifier for 2020 ICC Twenty20 World Cup later in 2019.

As per the ICC Twenty20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier schedule, Nepal will be playing with the following teams on:

• Malaysia – July 24, 2019
• Kuwait – July 27, 2019
• Singapore – July 28, 2019

All the matches will be held at the Indian Association Cricket Ground, Singapore. UAE, who was also scheduled to play in the Asia Qualifiers is directly promoted to the Global qualifiers, as they are hosting the event.
