Nepal Army Club’s Ramesh Karki Wins ‘Mr. Kathmandu 2019’ Title

Nepal Army Club’s Ramesh Karki was announced Mr. Kathmandu at the National Open Bodybuilding Tournament at the Nepal Academy on September 07, 2019.

Karki emerged title winner after beating six weight categories’ champions including Galaxy Fitness’ 75 kg winner Lalit Dhamal, Fitness Garage’s 70 kg winner, Shapes to Fitness 65 kg winner Bibek Bista, Fitness Garage’s 60 kg winner Amir Thapa and City Fitness’ 55 kg champion Umesh Dangol.

He was awarded a cash prize of NPR 150,000 and got an additional NPR 15,000 for emerging first in the weight category he participated in.

Besides Karki, the top three players in each category were rewarded with NPR 15,000, NPR 10,000 and NPR 5,000, respectively.

Similarly, in the Men’s Sports Physique up to 170 centimeter category, Fitness First’s Ishor Shahi, Fitness Plus’ Bishuram KC and Shapes To Fitness’s Rajeev Thapa finished first, second and third.

In the Men’s Sports Physique of more than 170 centimeter, Jimkhana’s Dheeraj Gharti won the gold medal, Shape To Fitness’s Giriraj Roka won silver and Body Garage’s Yuwak Khan bronze, each.

The winners of the given category were rewarded with NPR 30,000, NPR 15,000 and NPR 5,000, respectively.

On the other hand, Total Fitness’ Roji Pakhrin, Bhaktapur’s Sanam Mul Guthi and Wave Physical Fintess’ Jasmine Lama won the first, second and third places in the Women’s Athletics Physiques category.
