Nepal crossed another milestone in the ICC Twenty20 Qualifier B tournament!
After a resounding victory against Bhutan on October 09, 2018, Nepali cricket team battled down the Chinese cricket team in a match part of the ICC World Twenty-20 Qualifiers Asia (Eastern Region) held in Malaysia the same day.
Though Nepal won the toss, China chose to bat first!
However, the Chinese batting line-up could not withstand the ire of Nepali bowlers, who bowled all the Chinese team in 13 overs giving them just 26 runs.
Surprisingly, eight of the Chinese batsmen were duck-out!
Then, Nepali batting order stepped in to finish the set target in just two overs. Openers Binod Bhandari and Pradeep Airee drove the team to success with 24 and 4 respective scores.
Bhandari exhibited his outstanding batting performance by hitting three fours and one six in eight balls.
With regard to bowling performance, Sandeep Lamichhane, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Basanta Regmi bagged three wickets each.
Lamichhane stood ‘Man of the Match’ for his winning performance. He has so far won 20 wickets in the tournament.
