Nepal is playing a crucial match against Kuwait on July 27, 2019. The match will decide Nepal’s fate in the ICC World T20 Final Qualifiers.
Currently, the Nepal Twenty20 team stands at the third position in the ICC World T20 Asia Finals rankings.
It is important for Nepal to win the match against Kuwait as it will take Nepal higher up in its rankings and closer to winning the Asia finals.
The Nepal Vs Kuwait Asia match will begin at 7:30 AM Nepali Time on July 27, 2019.
Nepal has played two matches as part of its ICC World T20 Asia Final journey, from which it has lost one to Qatar and won the match against Malaysia.
Nepal played a remarkable match against Kuwait in the ICC World T20 Asia semifinals. Nepal defeated Kuwait by seven wickets with 25 balls still remaining.
Nepal won the toss and chose to field first. In Kuwait’s innings, the team set a target of 141 runs at the loss of nine wickets.
Muhammad Kashif and Adnan Idrees remained were the top scorers of the Kuwait team with a contribution of 49 and 25 runs respectively, from 36 and 14 deliveries.
Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane and Basanta Regmi took three Kuwait wickets each while conceding 20 and 21 runs in 4 overs. Likewise, Karan KC picked two wickets.
During the Nepal innings, Nepal Skipper Paras Khadka played an impressive game where he registered 68 runs from 42 balls. Similarly, Sharad Vesawkar registered 38 runs off 30 balls while remaining not out.
This is Nepal’s second victory in the ICC World T20 Asia semifinals.
Nepal will play its final match against Singapore to qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 Final Qualifiers.
