The most exciting day of the ACC U19 Eastern Region tournament has arrived!
Beating out the opponents, Hong Kong U19 and Nepal U19 cricket teams made it to the final match being held at Kinrara Oval in Malaysia on July 09, 2019.
In another milestone victory, Nepal defeated Hong Kong by 6 wickets and sealed its position in the Asia U19 Cup.
Nepal won the toss and chose to field first.
The Hong Kong team scored 95 runs off 43.1 overs at a loss of all wickets. Hong Kong’s Rahul Sharma was the highest scorer in the team with a contribution of 24 runs off 71 balls.
On the other hand, Nepal made 96 runs in just 16.1 overs at a loss of four wickets. Pawan Sarraf majorly contributed to the team’s victory with a score of 39 runs off 36 balls.
Nepal’s Sagar Dhakal was announced ‘Player of the Final’ for taking maiden 5 wickets in 10 overs, conceding 18 runs only.
Nepal remained victor all throughout the ACC Under 19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament.

Now, Nepal will have to compete with other Asian teams, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Kuwait, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates to bring home the Asia U19 Cup. The tournament will be held between August 18-September 08, 2019 in Sri Lanka. All The Best!
