Unilever Nepal Limited, which recorded a 13 percent growth in the turnover during the last fiscal year, has announced a cash dividend of Rs 1100 per share to its shareholders. Each share has a face value of Rs 100.
The announcement which followed the meeting of Unilever’s board of directors on Monday, is expected to be ratified at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.
According to the statement issued by Unilever, despite facing the challenges of factory lock-out and other market disruptions during the last few months, the company has recorded a broad-based growth across all categories, especially skin care and hair care products.
To mark the 25th anniversary of Unilever’s establishment in Nepal, the company has also announced a special dividend of Rs 170 per share, in addition to the 1,100 percent cash dividend.
