Cadres of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) have damaged vehicles on the second day of the four-day strike in Rautahat district. The protesters damaged the bus of Mahaveer Travels heading from Kathmandu to Maulapur in the district. The bus driver was initially warned to park the bus aside, but when he refused to do so the cadres vandalized the vehicle. The protesters staged their agitation by burning and picketing District Administration Office, District Court, Custom office, BP Chok among other intersections in the district headquarters Gaur.
Further, the protesters forced the shopkeepers to shut their shops. Meanwhile, police have arrested three cadres for damaging another vehicle carrying 11 policemen in Gaur.
Anil Singh, the party’s central member, has blamed the government for not understanding their problems and lack of favourable election environment. He said that the government made a mistake by not resolving the party’s demands.
