PM Lauds Aadi Kavi on 204th Bhanu Jayanti

The 204th birth anniversary of Aadi Kavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, Nepal’s First Poet, is being celebrated today across the country.

At a special function organized to mark the occasion in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba recalled the Aadi Kavi’s unparalleled contribution to the promotion of Nepali language and literature.

PM Deuba highlighted the importance of language and literature in ensuring the nation’s progress. He urged all Nepali citizens to be united in safeguarding the country’s languages, culture and literature.

Bhanu Jayanti is celebrated each year by Nepalese across the world as a mega cultural festival with literary seminars, programs and events attended by renowned writers and literary enthusiasts.
