June 13, 2017

Shesh Ghale, the president of the Non-resident Nepali Association (NRNA), said that the NRNA will help make Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, a liveable city.

In a meeting held with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya, Ghale said the NRNA can work collaboratively to improve the city’s status in terms of living environment and infrastructures.

Ghale added saying that Non-residents Nepalis are based at some of the most liveable cities of the world and they can help make Kathmandu more liveable if they can extend experiences, expertise and technologies of those cities to Kathmandu.

He said that he would sign an official agreement between the NRNA and the KMC to form sisterhood tie with some cities. In reply, the Mayor said that KMC will get a chance to learn many things from non-resident Nepalis.

During the meeting, Ghale also said that the NRNA will build its central office in Baluwatar of Kathmandu and requested KMC to provide required support.
