In the turn of events, Jamaica Tallawahs have selected Nepali cricket player Sandeep Lamichhane in the second round for the 2020 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Sandeep has signed a contract worth around USD 130,000 with Jamaica Tallawahs.
This is the third time Sandeep has been selected for the CPL tournament. Earlier, he had represented St. Kitts And Nevis Patriots, and Barbados Tridents in the CPL.
However, Lamichhane had quit the CPL 2019 tournament in the middle as he had to play for his national team in the 2020 World Cup League 2 matches.
Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, Australian batsman Ben Dunk and West Indies players Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Oshane Thomas and Glenn Phillips are involved in Jamaica Tallawahs.

The 2020 edition of CPL is scheduled to take place in Trinidad & Tobago from August 18 to September 10, 2020. However, the upcoming tournament consisting of 33 matches (including finals) will be played entirely behind closed doors across two stadiums in view of coronavirus pandemic.
All the participants including players, team management, organizers and the supporting staff will need to self-isolate for two weeks before they board their flights and for two weeks upon arrival in T&T.
They will be tested for Covid-19 upon arrival, followed by two more tests during their 14-day isolation period.
“We will continue to monitor the situation concerning COVID-19 and be on top of it, as it is a rolling situation and requires different rules and regulations as time goes on,” said T&T Sports Minister Shamfa Cudjoe. “Once we bring off this tournament successfully and I am sure we will, then it will be a lesson for us in hosting other games.”
