In a move extending job opportunities to unemployed locals, the Nepal Government has announced a special 30-day employment program.
The program is expected to cover around 106, 872 unemployed Nepalis waiting for job opportunities across the local units.
The government has allotted a total of NPR 2.36 billion budget for this program.
In this regard, each local government body has already received a minimum NPR 500,000-10 million for job creation to all the unemployed locals.
Now, the target for the local units is to ensure jobs for 106,872 unemployed for 30 days in the next two months period.
This decision comes in line with the government’s ‘minimum employment program’, which it has planned to include in the ongoing policies and programs, and the FY 2019-20 Budget.
Besides, Nepal Public Commission has also recently announced government job vacancies and has called for applications.
Hope the efforts of this kind will start addressing the gaps in the employment sector of Nepal.
