July 6, 2017

Owing to security issues, the Narayanghad-Muglin road will remain closed during nights starting from July 9, 2017.

The Chitwan District Administration Office took a decision in this regard in an all-party meeting held today. The committee decided to stop the vehicular movement from 7 pm on the Muglin side and 6 pm on the Dasdhunga, Narayanghad side, and restart at 5 am and 4 am on the respective sides.

According to Narayan Prasad Bhatta, Chitwan District Administrator, the route will be under road expansion activity during the aforementioned duration.

Besides, 44 households at the risk of landslide along this route will also be translocated to safe locations.

SP Deepak Thapa of the Chitwan District Police informed that three Rapid Response Teams (RRT) will be deployed along the route for ensuring smooth flow of traffic during the day.

The Development Committee of Parliament had on Tuesday instructed the closure of the route during nights for one and half months.
