Anushka Shrestha Bags BWAP Award in ‘Miss World 2019’

Miss Nepal Anushka Shrestha had made to ‘Top 12’ of the ‘Miss World 2019’ held in London on December 14, 2019.

Even though Anushka failed to reach the ‘Top 5’, she has brought glory to Nepal by securing the Beauty with a Purpose (BWAP) title.

Shrestha became the third Nepali after Ishani Shrestha (2013) and Shrinkhala Khatiwada (2018) to win BWAP.

The ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ program aims at raising money to help disadvantaged children across the world and participation in humanitarian activities.

BWAP is considered to be the most prestigious award after the Miss World title.

Earlier in the competition, Anushka won the ‘Multimedia Award’ and the ‘Head to Head Challenge Award’.

The grand coronation of Miss World 2019 was held in London on December 14, 2019.

Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica was crowned as the Miss World 2019 by the end of the event.
