Nepal VISA Requirements for Chinese Citizens

Hello Chinese Traveler!

We know you’re eagerly looking forward to explore the beautiful country of Nepal and that’s what brought you here.

So, here’s how you can apply for a Nepal Tourist Visa.

*Please note: Chinese citizens are exempt from Tourist Visa Fee. Likewise, Chinese Diplomatic and Official Passport holders do not require a visa for visit and stay in Nepal up to 30 days. Children below 10 years will be issued a Gratis Visa.

Chinese nationals can apply for visa from the following centers

• Nepal Embassy in Beijing
• Consulates in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Lhasa or Honorary Consulate, Shanghai
• Travel Agencies authorized by China National Tourism Administration (CNTA)
• Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal (Tourist can avail a visa upon arrival in Nepal)

Nepal Tourist Visa Requirements

• Tourist Visa Application Form
• Passport and Identity Card Copies
• Most recent Passport Size Photograph 35×45 mm (affixed to form)
• Birth Certificate for Children Under 10 Years

*Please note: Tourists applying for Nepal tourist Visa Online should submit a copy of the form to the Immigration Authority of Nepal on your first visit to Nepal.

Once the application is submitted, a receipt confirming the same will be sent to your email address. Print the receipt to produce it before the Immigration Authority.

The receipt will have all the documents required to be shown to the Authority. Contact the Immigration Authority within 15 days after application for any clarifications or to check status of application.

While doing this, please ensure the following to make a comfortable entry into Nepal

• Please keep your valid passport ready
• Keep a recent digital photograph of size 15×15 mm in a detachable device to upload your photo for the application
• Detailed Permanent Address and Detailed Address of Stay in Nepal
• Provide Contact numbers – Mobile and Landline and Email address

Nepal Tourist Visa Fees

• RMB 175 – 15 Day Multiple Entry
• RMB 280 – 30 Day Multiple Entry
• RMB 700 – 90 Day Multiple Entry
