Nepal and Israel have signed an operational ‘Visa Exemption Agreement’ for holders of diplomatic passports.
Nepali Ambassador Anjan Shakya and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi signed the agreement at a special function held at the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Israel in Jerusalem.
As per the new agreement, a diplomatic passport holder of either country can enter, exit, and transit the territory of the other country without any visa. They can stay in the other country for a maximum period of 90 days without a visa.
During the program, Ambassador Shakya proposed extending the training period of Nepali students coming to Israel under the “Learn and Earn Project” from the current 11 months.
She also talked about the resumption of employment opportunities to Nepali youths in the caregiving sector in Israel.
