While the Nepali Government is grappling to contain the spread of coronavirus, one more positive case has been surfaced in the country.
A Nepali woman with a travel history to Belgium tested positive for COVID-19 taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to six on April 2, 2020.
According to the Health and Population Ministry Spokesman Dr. Bikas Devkota, the woman arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on the Qatar Airways’ QR 652 flight from Doha on March 17, 2020.
She is the third passenger testing positive for COVID-19 among the 158 passengers who reached Nepal via the Qatar Airways flight on March 17, 2020.
Earlier, a 19-year-old Nepali girl with a travel history to France and a 22-year-old girl with travel history to Belgium had tested positive for COVID-19.

1) Nepalis in Spain: So far, 7 Nepali migrant workers in Spain have been infected with the deadly virus. However, 4 among them have been discharged from the hospital after recovery.
2) Nepalis in Kuwait: A Nepali worker in Kuwait has been tested positive for COVID-19 on April 1, 2020 and became the first Nepali in the country to be infected with the virus.
Around 70,000 Nepali immigrants are living in Kuwait.

4) Nepalis in Australia: According to the Nepali Embassy in Canberra, eight Nepali students in Australia have tested positive for COVID-19. However, one among them has already recovered.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to impact countries worldwide, particularly the USA and Europe. So far, around 1,018,689 people have tested positive and around 53,310 have died from COVID-19.
