Currently, PCR testing holds 7.12 percent of the positivity rate, and 0.56 percent of the positivity rate is held by antigen testing. Thus, the overall per-day positivity rate is 6.12 percent.
Nepal has 7,713 active COVID-19 cases, and 589 are hospitalized. 197 infected are receiving intensive care, and 49 people are battling the virus on ventilators.
While 9 people succumbed to the viral infection, 563 people have recovered from the deadly virus.
Nepal has witnessed 795,397 COVID-19 infections, and 11,448 lives were lost due to the virus. Nepal’s recovery rate stands at 97.6 percent, and the COVID-19 induced mortality rate is 1.4 percent. None were vaccinated in the country on Sunday.

On Thursday, the prime minister held a meeting regarding the COVID-19 crisis management at his residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu. Deuba stated that vaccines would be provided for free to all Nepalis.
PMO Secretary Maheshwar Neupane said Deuba also asked the concerned officials to make the COVID-19 vaccination program effective.
At this same meeting, the health ministry also submitted a report about Nepal’s vaccination status. The report summed up that 34 percent of Nepalis are partially vaccinated, and 22 percent are fully vaccinated.

]]>The decision comes hot on heels of the arrival of over 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine to the country from the USA.
The American Government donated the Pfizer vaccine doses to Nepal to fight the coronavirus pandemic under the COVAX initiative.
According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, the vaccines were brought via a flight of Qatar Airways today morning.
“Just Arrived: 100,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine have just arrived in Nepal. These vaccines have been donated by the U.S. government to Nepal to fight COVID-19 in partnership with COVAX. Stay tuned for more. #InThisTogether,” tweeted US Embassy in Kathmandu.
This is the first time the Himalayan nation had received Pfizer vaccine. Earlier, the country had received Covishield, Vero Cell, Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
With the arrival of Pfizer vaccines, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has started preparations to vaccinate children of above 12 years from November 14.
Pfizer is 95 percent effective in preventing COVID-19 and should be administered in two doses within a month.
According to MoHP, Pfizer vaccine will be administered from 24 hospitals across the nation.

PCR testing accumulated 5.52 positivity percent with the current data, and antigen testing amassed 0.54 positivity percent. The overall per-day positivity reached 4.84. positivity percent.
Currently, Nepal has 12,297 active infections, and 1,019 are hospitalized. 299 people are fighting this infection in ICUs, and 98 infected individuals are on ventilators. While 6 people succumbed to the infection, 680 individuals have purged the virus.
Until now, 781,456 people have successfully recovered, and 11,284 have lost their lives due to the virus. Nepal’s recovery rate is 97.07 percent, and COVID-19 induced mortality is at 1.4 percent.

Nepal currently has 20,743 active COVID-19 infections across the country. Of them, 19, 437 are recovering from the virus at home.
1,306 people are in isolation at institutions, while 340 are under intensive care. 111 are clinging on to their lives by being on ventilators. 246 are under quarantine at different facilities.
In the last 24 hours, about 15,243 people were tested for COVID-19. In addition, 11,629 people were subjected to the PCR method, and 3,614 people undertook the antigen test.
404 people in Kathmandu Valley contracted the deadly virus, while 245 people were from Kathmandu have fallen sick to this virus. In addition, 52 people in Bhaktapur and 107 in Lalitpur districts have become infected with the virus.

]]>As per the latest information provided by the ministry, 12 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours to the virus.
1,413 people have achieved complete recovery after contracting the viral infection.
Nepal’s total infections have risen to 873,534, with the current data factored in. The total number of people who died from the virus has hit 11,040. The total recovery tally has settled at 749,213.
Currently, Nepal has 24,313 active coronavirus infections. 22,834 Nepalis are recovering from viral infection under home isolation.
1,449 people are battling the infection under institutional isolation. 390 people are fighting the virus in ICUs’ while 117 are clinging to their lives on ventilators. 248 people are under observation at quarantine facilities.
241 of the new cases have sprung from the Kathmandu Valley. 187 were registered in the national capital Kathmandu. In addition, 32 infections were confirmed in Bhaktapur, and 22 people were found to be carrying the virus in the Lalitpur district.
Until now, 6,203,316 Nepalis were partially vaccinated, awaiting their second dose of the vaccine. 5,578,865 people are completely vaccinated in the country.

]]>The millions of vaccines will be flown to Nepal from China by a wide-body jet operated by Nepal Airlines Corporation.
As per Nepal’s health ministry, the central government of Nepal had procured 6 million of doses from China. The communist country had previously dispatched 1.6 million vaccines to Nepal, and the rest were dispatched now. The vaccines were scheduled to arrive this afternoon.
Apart from this purchase, Nepal had also received millions of doses from Europe and other countries. Using these vaccines, the Nepal government completely vaccinated 5,473,151 people. 6,057,194 people are partially vaccinated.
The health ministry of Nepal had remarked that the COVID-19 vaccination campaign would be restarted after Vero Cell vaccines arrive from their neighbor.

As of today, Nepal has 33,946 active coronavirus infections, and 2,327 have been hospitalized. 544 are being treated in ICU, and 166 are on ventilators. While 16 people have lost their lives to the infection, 1,846 infected have scored a complete recovery over the virus.
Overall, 10,786 have died due to COVID-19, while 721,182 people could recover from the viral infection. The recovery rate of Nepal stands at 94.2 percent, while COVID-19 induced mortality rate is at 1.5 percent.
