COVID-19 continues to run amok in Nepal

The Health Ministry has reported that the COVID-19 tally has reached 634,605 cases.

The ministry has stated that 1,681 new cases have cropped due to RT-PCR tests in the 24 hours.

These undesired positive results came out after 7,449 swab samples were collected. Also, 1,064 viral infections came to light through antigen testing.

 

This development brings Nepal’s total active cases to 63,257. Out of these active cases, 4,389 are hospitalized, and 967 are under intensive care. 285 are on ventilators.

Covid Test

Thankfully, 4,187 people have recovered from this virus in 24 hours. Unfortunately, however, 41 people have lost their lives to the deadly virus. With all factors considered, Nepal’s current recovery rate is 88.3%.

Since the onset of the pandemic, 8,506 people died from the infection, while 540,439 people recovered.
