Rastriya Sabha Passes 2 Bills Unanimously

The Rastriya Sabha (or National Assembly) has passed two bills unanimously in the assembly meeting on January 9, 2020.

The bills include:

  • Policy Research Foundation Bill
  • Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) First Amendment Bill

The bills were introduced by Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada on the behalf of the PM Oli.

 

Moreover, the Members of National Assembly (NA) also agreed to forward ‘Nepal Special Service Bill’ to Legislative Assembly Management Committee for clause-wise discussion.

Meanwhile, Minister Khatiwada has also proposed ‘Railway Bill’ in the meeting on behalf of the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth.

Earlier, Minister Khatiwada said that the ‘Policy Research Foundation Bill’ will boost the strategic relationships, foreign policies and launch development works of the country.

The next National Assembly meeting will be held on January 12, 2020.
