Amid the growing threat of coronavirus pandemic in the country, the Nepali Government has decided to extend the nationwide lockdown period by another 12 days until April 27, 2020.
This is the third time that the Nepali Government has extended the lockdown. The first lockdown was announced on March 24, 2020 and it was extended till April 7, 2020 and then to April 15, 2020.
So far, Nepal has reported only 16 coronavirus positive cases. However, the government is implementing stringent preventive measures to restrict the COVID-19 outbreak.
