The results of Korean Language Test (KLT) under Employment System (EPS) are announced. 12,015 applicants passed, out of the total 84,215 individuals who wrote the exam.
This number exceeds the quota of 10,050 Nepali migrant workers set by the Korean Government.
The Korean Government will employ 7,050 Nepali workers under the manufacturing sector and 3,000 under the agricultural sector.
Individuals are required to score at least 38 marks for the manufacturing sector and 37 marks for the agricultural sector.
The Korean Language Test was held in the second week of June 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Overall, 92,356 applicants between 18-39 years applied for Korean jobs.
According to EPS Korea section, 82,335 people appeared for the Korean Language Test 2018. Nepal has been sending workers to the South Korean labor market under EPS since 2008.
